Carmel IN Ford BroncoThe history of the Ford Broncos reaches back to the previous century. This lineup of vehicles is as vast as the expanse you can explore while cruising in one. Regardless of which rendition of a Bronco is the latest, they all encapsulated the spirit that started it: Adventure! Like its namesake, Broncos can't help but enjoy the outdoors, running over uneven terrain and exploring places no one's ever trekked.

First introduced in 1966, Ford designed the Bronco line to be a rugged and reliable vehicle that could handle any terrain. It became a fan favorite among outdoor enthusiasts and soon became one of the most popular SUVs. In 2021, Ford brought this classic line of SUVs back from the dusty trails and revamped it with the latest technology. You can see how the 2021 Ford Bronco fares among its modern Ford cousins today at our dealership today.

Uphold Tradition & History in a Carmel, IN Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco is a four-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle. Ford produced the first generations of the family between 1966 to 1996. Initially, they were introduced to the market to compete against the Jeep CJ-5 and International Harvester Scout. Like their competitors, Ford responded to the increase in demand for vehicles that could withstand the outdoors.

The classic Bronco was built on a shortened version of the Ford F-100 pickup truck frame. It also used the same suspension and drivetrain as the F-100 trucks. The original Broncos were available with either a 90-inch or 102-inch wheelbase. It offered the power of Ford's trucks while also providing the space and comfort families expect from SUVs.

However, after 1996, Ford turned their sights on some of its other lineups for a time. The Bronco family was left to wait in the stables until they were allowed to roam the world again. And it happened - Ford Motor Company brought a new and improved Bronco back into the wild in 2021.

The Broncos were born to roam the rugged roads of the world. Most of the Bronco's features center around its off-roading capabilities. The return of the modern Broncos included a Terrain Management System™ with several G.O.A.T. Modes™.

For Ford, G.O.A.T. stands for "Go Over All Terrain," and you can select the type of road you're about to drive over with a single button press while behind the wheel. The standard Bronco has five modes, while the special editions have a few more. Choose between the regular modes of Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Sand & Snow.

It wouldn't be a modern rendition without its toybox of technological tricks. Along with the various G.O.A.T. Modes, the standard Bronco also comes with Trail Control™. This feature is available in Broncos with automatic transmissions. In essence, it's a cruise control setting for low-speed off-road driving.

Of course, its features don't stop there. The 2021 Bronco can handle most of the sharp drops and steep inclines you may encounter while out and about. With a max departure angle of 37.2 and a 29-degree break-over angle.

Get even closer to the outdoors. Every Carmel, IN Ford Bronco has removable doors and a removable roof. Ford designed this feature to be doable even while you're alone, so there's no need to worry about bringing along a friend for every venture. Regardless of which trim or edition you choose, you can enjoy the breath of fresh air as you venture through the great wilderness.

Not to mention, there's also a Sasquatch™ Package that's available on every Bronco series. The package includes 35-inch tires and 17-inch Beadlock-capable wheels. High-clearance suspension and high-clearance fender flares are also part of the package. Due to high demand, this package will also be available with the 2022 models with manual transmission.
