The History of Zionsville, IN Ford Bronco

Donald N. Frey had a large part in creating the Ford Bronco back in the early 1960s. The final model for it was approved for production by 1964. Even back then, it was considered an ORV (Off-Road Vehicle.) However, in the 1966 brochure, it was marketed as an all-purpose vehicle. The Bronco was meant to compete against Jeep's CJ and International Harvester Scout. In 1966 the Ford Bronco had four-wheel drive, with a ninety-two-inch wheelbase.
