Ford Mustang Noblesville, IN: History & Evolution

The Ford Mustang Noblesville, IN started out as a personal car built by the Ford Motor Company in 1962. The original model was known as the Ford P-Vette, a nod to its muscle car heritage. However, it didn't sell very well due to its high price; plus, it only had three gears. It was initially created for racing, but Ford sold the car to the public.

The Mustang underwent several evolutions until the Ford Motor Company finally stopped making it in 2008. The last Ford Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Kansas City, Missouri.

The first redesign of the Ford Mustang occurred in 1974. The original design had been called 'too plain,' and it was completely redone the following year. The body of the car became sleeker, and it had an aggressive two-door coupe style. It came with a 351 cu in V8 engine, which put out 350 horsepower.

Another major change occurred in 1979. Ford made a four-cylinder engine standard on all Mustangs and included electronic ignition, making it one of the first production cars to have this technology.

Ford Mustang GT™

The Ford Mustang® GT™ is a car that was made for speed and style. It has a sleek design that makes it look like it's going fast even when it's standing still. The GT is also packed with power, thanks to its V8 engine. This makes it the perfect choice for anyone who wants to experience the thrill of driving a Mustang.

However, unlike the Shelby® GT500®, the Mustang GT still makes a great everyday vehicle for those who like to ride in style but don't need the extra horsepower of a racing-type car.

The most recent redesign of the Ford Mustang happened in 2005. Since then, there have been several different trim levels and engines for the Mustang, including a convertible model for the first time ever.2022 Ford Mustang

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The Shelby GT500 is a high-performance variant of the Ford Mustang. It was first introduced in 1967 and has been produced intermittently since then. The GT500 is powered by a 5.8-liter supercharged V8 engine and produces 662 horsepower.

It has a top speed of 200 miles per hour and can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds. The GT500 is one of the most powerful and sought-after Mustangs on the market and is sure to turn heads whenever it hits the road.

While other variants of the Ford Mustang can make great everyday vehicles, the Shelby GT500 is often sought after, if not used, for its speed and performance.

Ford Mustang Mach 1

The Mustang Mach 1™ is a performance-oriented option package of the Ford Mustang, originally introduced in August 1968, following the introduction of the "Boss 302" Mustang in 1969. The Mach 1 featured a larger-than-usual engine displacement and power output, shaker hood scoop, competition suspension, chrome pop-open gas cap, blacked-out grille, and fog lights.

The Mach 1 proved to be very popular, with over 72,000 units sold in its first year. It would go on to be one of the most successful Mustang models ever, with over 300,000 units sold between 1968 and 1973.

Over the years, the Mach 1 would see various changes and updates, including the addition of a front spoiler in 1969, a rear deck spoiler in 1970, and a "shaker" hood scoop in 1971. 1972 would see the biggest change to the Mach 1, with a new "Sportsroof" body style replacing the fastback.

The Mach 1 Now

The Mach 1 would be discontinued after the 1973 model year, replaced by the Mustang® Grande™ and Mustang® Cobra™ models. However, it would make a comeback in 2003 with a special edition Mustang Mach 1. This new Mach 1 featured a 4.6 L DOHC V8 engine, producing 305 hp (227 kW). It would be produced for just one year, with a total of 7,182 units sold.

Ford has since redesigned and upgraded the Mach 1 since its 2003 redesign. The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a high-performance variant of the Ford Mustang. It was introduced in 2021 as a successor to the Shelby GT350 and GT350R.

The Mach 1 is powered by a 5.2-liter V8 engine that produces 480 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. It has a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The Mach 1 is available in both coupe and convertible body styles.23019 Ford Mustang
