2021 Chevrolet Corvette 1LT

Getting Any Used Corvettes for Sale Indianapolis, IN is a Prize Worth Winning

We are just going to come out and say it- the Chevy Corvette is a sweet, sweet car. There is no denying it.

The Corvette, much like many other sports cars, has a long history throughout America. It made its debut in 1953 at GMs Motorama show in New York City. However, the success of the Corvette was not what one may have expected. Surprisingly, there was not much hype for the rare sports car, but that did not discourage the makers.

In the beginning, GM started with a simple two-seater roadster with a fiberglass body and an inline-six engine pushing about 115 horses. It only came in a two-speed automatic transmission, and with 300 of them made, GM only sold about 183 of them.

Fast forward, and Chevy came out with a 4.3 L V-8 engine that produced about 195 horsepower and a three-speed manual transmission. Things were looking up.

Further in the future and the Chevy Corvette was chosen as the Offical Pase Car for the 1978 Indy 500. It happened to be the 25th anniversary when it got this rare opportunity. However, that was not the only time the Corvette got to drive down the speedway. The Corvette was chosen once again in 1998 and again in 2020. This particular corvet was equipped with the Z51 performance package producing 495 horsepower.

With so much history to this car, it's not a wonder buyers are searching everywhere to get their hands on one. The Corvette is so powerful that its top track speed has been known to be 194 MPH, and it goes from zero to sixty in just under three seconds.

The Ford GT Rival

The Corvette couldn't be mentioned without bringing up the Ford GT. Like the Corvette, the Ford GT had a shaky start trying to compete with race cars such as the Ferarri in the Le Mans race back in the sixties. However, it got its well-deserved victory in June 1966.

The Ford GT Mk II received an upgraded 3.5 L twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost® engine. It can push over 700 horsepower and has advanced aerodynamics for the ultimate racing performance. Only 45 or made in three years, and goes for $1.2 million dollars at MSRP.

2021 Ford Mustang GT Premium

Ford Mustang® GT Fastback

While a Ford GT cannot be bought by everyone as only a limited amount of cars are made each year, customers can still get the Ford Mustang® GT Fastback. The Fastback can be outfitted with a 5.0 L twin independent variable cam timing  V8 engine. This Ti-VCT technology helps improve fuel economy, reduce emissions, and boost power. This engine can push 450 horses and up to 410 lb-ft of torque.

Drivers can enjoy track apps that display lateral and longitudinal G-forces, acceleration times, and lap times. Additionally, there is an automatic countdown start display for racetrack use only.

Drivers can get the GT performance package for the Fastback, which can include the 19: x 9 wheels in the front and 19" x 9.5" rear wheels, which are Ebony black aluminum wheels. This package also includes Torsen® differentials with a 3.73 sale ratio for manual transmissions or a 3.55 axle ratio for automatic transmissions.

If that is not enough, drivers may be interested in the Mustang GT Premium Fastback. This model can come with a ten-speed SelectShift® Automatic transmission with a gearbox that can improve responsiveness and performance during acceleration. The GT Premium Fastback can also come with the GT Performance Package making drivers' experience on the racetrack that much better.

Schedule Your Test Drive Today

No matter what you choose, whether it is a Corvette or a Mustang, you want to be able to test drive your car. If not, how will you know whether you like it? It is safe to say not every driver likes how each car handles the road. Some may find out they like one over the other simply by feeling. That doesn't make one car superior to the other, however, we are quite partial to the Mustang.

That does not mean we can't help you get the car that is right for you. Schedule a test drive for your favorite car either online, by calling, or come to the dealership.
